Up Friday at 2 pm feeling groggy since I slept during

the daylight hours.  I feel well and am about to go to Griffith Park for the All Things Space event horizon.  Good for me.

Good Thursday, as I recall. Up at 930am to go to

Los Fielez with Ed Sentowski to help fix the two guys computer internet access, which I did with no major issues.  John game me $50 when we were done, so that was nice.  The issue was a bad modem and then access to the net via the modem.

I will go back for free to help set up the router access when I get the chance if they want to do so.

Then two hours at Basic + sig at Nancy Cook's and it was fine.  I worked on AJ's computer activation issue and we all talked about computers and such and all had a good time.

Reading Trunk Music and Vector something by Tom Clancy, both pretty good.

Good Wednesday as I recall. Nothing much to

record, again, as I recall now that it is Friday afternoon.

Good Tuesday. Slept well now to do laundry and

then eat and go to tugnet and pay bills.

Good Monday. Got new pin and tried a new

Mexican restaurant near the CCU.  The restaurant was infinitely forgettable.

Nothing else of consequence to record.

Slept from about 6am to 2pm. Now feeling well.

Reading Echo Park and enjoying it on Kindle for PC.

The guys don't do much except bad mouth Windows and brag about their Linux boxes, although everyone had a laptop on hand.

Not particularly interesting or informative.

I don't know if I will go back again.  We'll see.

Friday R & R'ed PS on Ed's friend's computer.

It was much more difficult than I expected, but through perseverance I got it done ok.  It will probably last as it is for a couple of years, or so I hope.  One power supply cable wasn't locked in but this should n't be a problem since the desktop doesn't move around much once it is set up and running.  I can fix it if it ever comes loose in about half an hour or so.  All else was excellent.  I didn't expect to get involved in hardware issues.  I thought she had a "slow" computer, usually caused by shortage of memory or disk space.  Live an learn.

Thursday was a good day, as I recall 3 days later.

Mediocre chill releano at viva Cantana in Burbank.  Never again.

Up at 1030am feeling well. Cleaned apartment and

vacuumed a bit as well.  I feel well and want to eat and go out and then return and do laundry and finish cleaning up my wonderful apartment.

Newt Gingrich was interesting last night at the Nixon Library, but he only spoke for an hour.  I got some good pictures however, I think.

Tuesday up at 830am feeling well. No laundry

b/c it was being used.  Used a lot of the CB and it seems to be working well.

Not to shower and go see Newt Gingrich.

Monday was a good day, eventually. I got the CB

finally.  I am typing this on it now and it works well.

The ups guy said I wasn't home and I had to go to the ups store in Van Nuys twice to finally pick up the Acer C7 Chromebook that I am using now to type this on my 27 inch monitor and using the external 2 TB drive and wireless mouse.  So far it works well.

Very little difference that I can see between how this works and how my ASUS laptop works for the majority of the things I do with my computer every day.

I have to be out of here by 3pm to get to the Nixon Library by 6pm for the talk by Newt Gingrich.  Time to go now.

Sunday is the last day CD-Rom store will be open.

I want to get there by noon or so for the best selection.

Good Saturday. Sailed on the Bill of Rights out of

Oxnard and all was well even though I got there 10 minutes late, but I still made it just barely.

Good sail and I got a lot of pictures and had a fine time.

Good Thursday, slept well. 1000 Oaks PCC was

good.  I was asked if I would do a presentation on Win 8 for the January meeting.  I accepted, gladly and will be contacted again by email by the program coordinator with the right email address for me now.

Otherwise a quiet day.  Good food from Wal Mart and not much else to record.

I'm sad Sinofsky is out at Microsoft.  I doubt Julie is able to replace him in terms of technical excellence.  Julie seems to be a UI person, but what do I know?

Today I plan to go to Cupids for hot dogs and then to the topcc photo class at 6pm.

I should call AJ and Rey and tell them I will come out tomorrow.  AJ should vacuum his apartment.

Good Sunday, so far. Slept well after China Lake

from 12a to 730a and only up one time.  Awoke feeling well.  Les called and we talked investments for an hour.

Now to finish the pills and go to the Civil War Re enactment in Moorpark.

Good Saturday with Tugnet to China Lake and a

Museum in China Lake, which I almost liked better.  Good experience in China Lake and the museum was interesting as well.

The China Lake buffet was one of the worst I have ever been to, although all the other people seemed to love it.

I love the Vegas buffet much more better.

The car ran well but it is much too cold until I get the blender door repaired soon.

I want to be ready tomorrow at 8am for the trip to China Lake and have my car run well as well.

Good Thursday. Returned Surface and had a fair

lox and cream cheese sandwich at Roll n Rye.  I chose not to go to the web sig.

Read a book on continental evolution until 3am before I could get to sleep.

Washed clothes and napped and now to shower and

return the Surface in Glendale and get the two guys and go out tonight.

I am disappointed by the Republican losses yesterday.  Almost all hard core Republicans lost except Michelle Bachman, by a hair.  Spencer Ackerman of journalist fame claims the anti muslum caucus lost in the congress and he is happy.

I fear for the future of the republic but we have survived and prospered from worse defeats.

You would think we would have seen this coming, not so?

More thoughts later.

Up Wed at 830am feel sad but well. I want to return

the Surface today and take out the two guys from Palms for this month's outing as I lick my wounds from yesterday's election.  Too bad but no real impact on me.

At least we missed the riots and legal challenges of a Romney victory.  This should embolden the left wing and cool the jets of the right wing for four more years.  All too bad for the country but we are a big powerful country and all will be ok in the long run.  Look at the self caused devastation in China due to the leftist ideas and now China is a powerful country again after perhaps 40 million people were killed by the leftist ideas.

Now to wash clothes so I don't have to fuss with clean clothes every day.

Good Tuesday up at 830am feeling well. Avoiding

the news media accounts of the election returns.  I went to Ed Sentowski's house and fixed his email issue and then installed Win 8 at his request.  It took about two hours because there was an issue in his registry that needed a fix by a tech support guy. All was fixed and installed by 615pm and I went to tugnet anyway.  The win 8 presentation by Jay Ross was ok but I was cold and uncomfortable all the whole time.

Romney was announced as the loser in the election and I was saddened.  I'm still sad as I write this Wed morning at 830am after a good sleep.

Awake Monday @ 8am feeling well. Good time

yesterday at the Endeavor exhibit at the CA Science Center for $10 to park and #2 to see the shuttle and take a lot of pictures and videos.

Hard time walking, however.  See Kaiser soon re knees.

Dinner after the event was half of Mick's sub left over sandwich, which was excellent.

Several short sleeps through out the remainder of the day til now after noon.

Paid the AES of 193 and TWC of 29.99 and all is well.

Bought tickets to a Civil War Re enactment in Moorpark, CA next Sunday.  This should be excellent.

I'll try to get there early and see two battles.

Ten days from now I have the bill for State Farm to pay.  I am still irritated at State Farm because I have to pay the same amount as before even though I retired six months ago and no longer drive to work.  I should go express my disappointment with them in person.  We'll see.

I also want to complete the pension forms for Mass Mutual.

I also want to write a letter to Terry and tell her how much I don't like their decision to keep all of Inga's share of Marion's estate.  We'll see.

Otherwise all is well and I plan to go eat at Lancer's and then the investiment SIG and vote tomorrow.

Up Sunday @830am feeling well. Ordered tickets

to the CA Science Center Endeavor exhibit and will be there about noon.

I also ordered 2 each of ink jet ink cartridges for my elderly Canon printer.

I feel well and plan to eat eggs and sausage for breakfast, then to the Endeavor exhibit.

Saturday up at 830am. Daylight Savings Time

ends tonight, for which I am grateful.

I don't think I want to go to the Simi Valley Linux meeting.  Perhaps next month after I get Win 8 installed on my Fujitsu machine and all is working well.

I really hate this computer in that it jumps the cursor when I accidentally touch the key pad with my palm.  This erases the typed stuff or something and it is very frustrating.

Now to finish reading about the debate on this awful keyboard.  That's why I use the external and the monitor.

Good Monday to visit Gettysburg and the area

with Bob and had a good time at Harper's Ferry and dinner there.

Drove to West Virginia to see Linda and Bob Sunday

Ran out of gas just after we got into Maryland but only a 30 minute delay.  To WV and all was well.

Went to Linda's daughter Lisa's house for dinner with her husband Pat, son Brian, and daughter in law Charo and the two great grand kids Jackson and Wade or something.

Good dinner and I drove the group back to West Virginia and all was well.

Good Saturday in Ocean Grove, NJ with Terry

and Inga.  Saw Arbitrage in the movie theatre and it was ok.

Back to Beachwood, NJ by 7 pm and getting ready for
WV tommorow am.

Good Friday in Tom's River. Rented Yaris and it is

ok to drive.  Terry could not remain in Philadelphia so she came here.  Inga and I will go to Terry's beach house tomorrow and then to Linda's house on Sunday til Monday, I plan now.

Me to NYC by bus and have a good day in NYC by myself.  This computer must be messing up when I touch the keypad when typing.  Now to check the settings on that.  No settings that I can see to make the touch pad inoperative when the keyboard is being used.

I can go to NYC tomorrow about 9am and return about 9pm or so.  I could go see Phantom or Hair or just go around NYC.  I don't think much of Central Park.

Take my camera and iPad and iPhone and a book and the backpack with nothing in it except the iPad.

I can visit the Apple Store made out of glass.

Walk around NYC.  This computer is hard to type on with the touch pad active.

Awake Wednesday morning in New Jersey with

a desire to rent a car and go see Terry and Linda and Linda's husband and the Civil War battlefield.

I can drive around Philadelphia and enjoy the independence.

I want to be able to go to a restaurant when I want and order the food I want, when I want it.

Good flight to NYC, shuttle + bus to Tom's River

Inga and Dick and the dog are fine.  Eating well and all else is well.

Upgraded iPhone data plan to 5GB and it works well.

At Bob Hope Airport sitting on the floor to be near

an electrical outlet so I can charge my iPhone and computer.  I made it through security and am now just waiting for the flight to board.  The shuttle was almost an hour late but all is well now.  I think I'll play ms. solitaire now

Awake at 730am feeling well. Good sleep in these

cooler nights.  To sleep at 130am and awake at 730am means I need and get about 6 hours of sleep per night, unless I get 8 or 9 hours like last night.  Interesting.

I have almost decided that I want and need a Win RT tablet to replace my iPad, and improve on my iPad.  I want the form factor to read in a restaurant, airplane, or on a trip.  I want hdmi connectivity for when I am home or on the road or at the computer clubs, and I want all my Windows stuff to play and show on my tablet computer.  RT will take some time to achieve this level of compatibility, but it can be done if Microsoft wants to do it.  They have the resources if they want to succeed.  Why are they making the RT if they don't want to support it.  So far, they are doing well on making and releasing the Surface and the other Win 8 tablets by their partners.

I watched iTunes TV, read a while, and napped for an hour or so.  Tried to repair the Toshiba laptop and had to recognize that it had a hard ware failure and destroyed the machine and dumped it in the trash bin.  Sad end to $1K after 6 years or so, but time marches on.

Now to play ping pong, return the cables to Frys, and eat well and pack for NYC tomorrow.

movies last night.  Still feeling less than enthusiastic, but things are looking up.

REM of working at Palms and A was there again.  Seemed to be on Sky Unit.  Not a really bad dream, but nothing to write home about.

I seem to need about 6 hours of sleep, more or less, which is pretty good.

Watched What The Tech from yesterday while I was eating at the Vegas Buffet, which was ok, but nothing special since it didn't have my two favorite shrimp dishes and the crab shell things either.

Took out AJ and Rey to Wendys and Frys and bought AJ a new mp3 player for $15 or so.  Watched Brakehart Pass upon return and felt very well.

Now thinking what to do.

The Groupon for the Van Nuys Airport sounds good.

Bobs or Sizzler sounds good too.

tugnet tonight is movement and I think I should skip that.  I don't move very well at all these days.  I'm too fat and unfit, but I'm working on it.

Paid Verizon yesterday so that is a good thing.

Just checked Groupon and the airplane ride thing expires today so I think I will go eat at Bobs and see if Rey wants to try to make his Mac better.  Now to go out now.

I seem to sleep much better even with the window wide open, behind the screen.  I also recall a lot of REM type of dreams and such.  Only up once to use the bathroom as I recall.

I want to pay the Verizon debt today, just to get it off my conscience, eat at Vegas Seafood Buffet, and probably take the two Palms guys out tonight rather than go to the tugnet meeting on robotics.

We'll see.

Good Sunday. Went to Kaiser for some OTC cream

I'll start using it tomorrow.

I seem to be down for lots of good reasons.

I didn't play ping pong Sunday.

It is still hot as of Sunday.

I need new cream for my feet from Kaiser.  Got it.

I need new acetaminophen pills, which I will get today.

Saturday Terry called to tell me she

replied to my letter but it got misplaced.  Inga said "that ship has sailed" as far as sharing any money with me.

Mostly stayed home.  Didn't want to go to the linux group.

I did clean up Ed Sentowski"s computer programs and toolbars and re directs.

Good ATS at Griffith Observatory

Good dinner at Vegas Seafood Buffet.

Awake via the iPhone alarm at 720am feeling well

after 5 hours of fairly good sleep.

Made it to 1000 Oaks Senior Center for Forever Young singers and they sang well.  I enjoy watching and listening to them sing and practice.  It is a hard skill and difficult to do at best.

Home to shower and go eat and go to Griffith Observatory for All Things Space tonight.

I have a week before I go to NYC.  Let's prepare.

Good Thursday. Got gas at $4.39/ gal.

Good videos and such.  Nothing else I can remember.

Watched Windows weekly and it wasn't much.

Went out and got good hat and ping pong paddles, so all is well.

Slept from noon to 3pm or so.  Now planning what to do the balance of the day.

Thursday to TOPCC for a fair meeting on a back

up and partition magic type utility.  Good dinner at Wendy's with the cheerful and friendly take out window girl who doesn't wear her big black horn rim glasses any more.

Also got a denture adjustment by a lady at Dr Field's office, which is a lot better.

Wednesday mostly stayed home.

Good dinner at Chick-fil-A with the nice wait person Mandy being friendly, as usual.  She is also filled with "My pleasure." remarks, as they all are.

That's all I can remember now on Friday am.

Good dinner at Bob's Big Boy with the nice Ethiopian waitress with the nice smile.

Hal can't go on a trip now due to car troubles and

too many things going on at once.  He will call me when he gets a free moment as when he comes down to visit his mother in Santa Clarita or some thing.  Time will tell.

I have two weeks til the trip to NJ.  Planing well now.

Up Monday 7am feeling well, but a bit tired. Waiting

for a call from Hal or for me to call him.  I'll call him later today when I return from Vegas Seafood Buffet. I tried to take a nap at 9am to no avail.  It is now 130pm and I'm getting ready to go to Glendale and the cdrom store.  Then home to call Hal and wash clothes and pack the car, if I'm going on a trip.

Yesterday I went to the LA Fair and was not impressed.  Mostly very low class people as far as I could tell.  I got a free ticket but still didn't buy a thing.  Great ride, however.

Now to shower and go.

Sunday up at 11am, in the still hot room.

Missed the call from Les but left him a message.

Inga called and we talked about 35 minutes about life and general stuff.  I told her for sure when I would be arriving and she said Dick may be able to pick me up.  We'll see.

I should bring her a computer to use.  Perhaps the old HP would be good for her.

Now to go to the LA Fair by car.  Let's go.

Saturday slept to 11am due to still hot in here and out

Left about 4pm, got my hair cut excellently, and got an Italian cold cut sandwich and Italian sausage with spaghetti and they were both excellent.

Watched the rest of Ax men and finished the first Russinovich book and general iTunes videos, all good.


Almost the last hot day in Southern California.

Thank God.

Friday up at 11am in a hot room. Went out to get

the tires rotated and balanced, the oil changed and the car washed, and I ate at Henri's.  Runny eggs and over cooked hot links and dry toast.  Otherwise it was excellent.

Reading Russinovich's book.  So far very good.

Planning tomorrow to go on the tall ship to Anacapa Island or where ever.

Thursday stayed home and endured the awful heat

Went to Bob's but didn't like the wait process, so I went to Tony's and got a pizza, which was the best I have ever had.  No kidding.  It was perfect.

Up at 10am feeling groggy, as usual. Still hot here.

Installed iOS 6 on my iPhone and iPad.  Works very well.

Now to eat at the Vegas Buffet, get my hair cut, and attend the linux group at 630pm, if I want to do so.

I feel good now that I've taken my meds and have had a chance to wake up, I guess.

I want to pay the Earthlink bill, after I determine that I am not being cheated by them, pay att after I find out if I can get tethering capability for a month starting when I fly to Inga's house.  I also need to pay the State Farm bill when I am sure it is the right bill for the right coverage I want.

Now to go on with my life in a positive mood with great expectations.

Tuesday up at 11am feeling ok. I don't like sleeping

in a hot environment with the fans and sometimes air conditioners on full blast.  Necessary if the temperature is too hot, but not restful.

Made it to the Nixon Library by 3pm, but I got the month wrong for the Larry Elder program.

Back to Lancers for excellent liver and onions done very well.  The liver wasn't so hot, but the onions were the best done ever.  Three dollar tip to Lee?

Got movies at Fry's and skipped the tugnet presentation by Jay Ross.

Take many of the above with me to see Inga and Terry as well. Also will do.

Up at 815am feeling a bit tired, but no longer sleepy

Dreading the Earthlink, Mass Mutual, ATT, and State Farm bill pays and negotiates but it must be done.

Chinese buffet today from 1 to 3 pm, then to the cd rom store to trade dvds back in.

Then to the 7pm touch screen SIG at Margie's house.

I would also like to get my hair cut today.

Awake at 920am feeling well. Meds and Metimucil

and checking the news of the day.  Looking forward to a good breakfast of Malt O Meal and then to the L A Fair and to ride the rails on the Metro Link.

I think I can get a weekend pass for $10 which is good for Friday at 7pm to Monday morning at 1201am.

I feel well and am full of vim, vigor, and vitality.

I have a good week planned for next week.  Touch SIG for Monday, do the Earthlink bill, the State Farm bill, the ATT bill, and complete the Mass Mutual pension paperwork and make the call regarding pension payments.

Wednesday is SSA payday.

Friday at 9am is Forever Young Singers.

I missed the call and I will call him back soon.  I feel pretty good and want to go to the LA Fair via the Metro Link line as soon as I get out of the house.

I would like to eat a solid breakfast of Malt O Meal before I go.  I did watch one good old video on Death Valley.  Soon to shower and go.

Feeling well but a bit anxious regarding the trip with Hal, the trip to Inga's, the trip to Terry, the trip to Linda and her husband and the visit to Mananas, and the trip to the Link Observatory and the Observatory in Arizona.

I'm also worried about money issues, as usual.  Time will tell.

Good singing group.  Almost all Broadway favorites, with solos.  No openings now.  I'll go back next week and see how many people show up.  Someone should drop out at some time soon?

Home for egg salad sandwich and a nap.

Booked flight on JetBlue after calling Terry.  Got Larry who said they had no plans to go on big trip during the Oct 15 to Oct 25 time period.

Paid $265 for the round trip.  Still to book the shuttle bus from here to Burbank airport and the return trip ten days later.

I hope Inga, Terry, Dick, Marie, and Larry don't have a problem with me coming for a visit.  Time will tell.

I still need to resolve the Earthlink account payment process with Time Warner, I guess.

And the att for the iPhone and State Farm for the car insurance.  Do all this Monday.

Also it looks like the tablet SIG is Monday, which is good.

Perhaps L A Fair on the Metro Link tomorrow.  We'll see.

Thursday pm Nexus ready for Margie. JetBlue

has a discount coupon worth $30 on a round trip to JFK which is only about $264 or so round trip from Burbank.  The question is should I go?

I don't want to make the relatives uncomfortable back there, but I won't be avoiding them as well if I go for a visit.  Plus I like the flight and I can visit NYC and West Virginia and Philadelphia and
Washington DC and any where else I want to go.

I think I should call Terry tomorrow and then Inga and see if they want to put me up for a week or so.

Up Thursday at 7am after a good sleep. Lots of

REM sleep and pretty rested.  Looking forward to a breakfast of Malt O Meal and to do some laundry, clean up the apartment a bit, watch Windows Weekly live, and fix up the Nexus 7 for sale to Margie at tugnet.

Handle the state farm and earthlink bills as well.

Hope the two caps stay on and the two bridges work well as well.

OK Wednesday. Dr Fields put on two crowns and

did the impressions for the two new floating bridges, which cost me $900 for the two.

My teeth hurt and I didn't feel well for a while after the session.  I sure seem to have a difficult time at the dentist.  After some soft food and a little sleep, I went to the first class of the photo club at topcc.  It was well done, informative, and cooperative.  I learned some things.

Home for dinner of cotto salami sandwiches and other soft food.

The new painted railings and doors look good.  The gate fence seems to work well as well.

To sleep on time for a good sleep.

Good Tuesday. Got two books, watched Paul and

Andrew Zarian live on What the tech.  Water finally on by 4:30pm, and I had a shower and a shave to beat all.  It was wonderful.  Feeling well, but my face is still burned.

About to go out to TUGNET, AND THEN ?

Monday little or no water. Astro SIG good.

Shopped at Wal Mart.  Margie Bernath wants to buy my Nexus 7.  I offered it to her to try out, and will offer it to her for $100 Thursday.

Up at 9am feeling tired, but well rested.

Waited for Les to call to no avail as of 11am.  I want to go out to get out of this no water apartment.

Go somewhere to eat and drink.  I long for a shower, but nothing yet.

Comfortable Motel 6 in Ventura. Didn't sleep at all

Still up for the San Miguel trip on time.

Very difficult trip.  Hard 3.5 hour ride to the island.  The boat slipped every which way at all times.  Cold and wet as well.

We took zodiac boats to the island, which was a trip in itself.  I got my butt wet on the return trip, as well as my feet.  A miserable trip on the return ride.  I simply endured it as best as I could.

Cold, wet, dirty, and uncomfortable for three hours with no where to go.

The island was interesting but too hard to walk on for me.  I don't scramble over rocks like I used to do.

Walking in sand is very hard.  Getting into and out of the boat is very hard as well.

I'm glad I did it, but I won't be doing it again any time soon.

Done by 8pm and then to Lancer's for breakfast, which was ok at best.

Home to shower with little water and sleep 10 hours well.

Good All Things Space at Griffith Observatory

Got there on time, waited in line and got a great seat.

Good program and then drove to Ventura.

Sporadic sleeping episodes over. Now to Griffith

Observatory by 3pm for All Things Space.  Then to Ventura for the boat trip to San Miguel Island.

Probably dinner or breakfast at Lancers or where ever.

Up at 11 am after some good, if disjointed sleep.  Water level seems to be better in the apartment.

Up Thursday at 9am, watched Kindle event, Window

Weekly and took a nap it was so boring.  Later the net and movies and getting ready to go out for what?  Pizza sounds good to me.

I think I'll do the Metro Link to Pomona on Sunday or next week or so.  $10 for the whole weekend sounds good.  That's usually what I pay for parking.

I took AJ and Rey out for dinner last night.  AJ cost more than $25 including his dinner and a video game.  He didn't have his CA ID card.  He thinks it was stolen.  What is he going to do when he has a driver's license and a car and such?

Not sure what I want to do today.  I have lots of good videos and movies to watch.  We'll see.

My gums still hurt for ten days now.  Not a good thing.

I think I will take the two alums out tonight instead of going to the Fair via Metrolink today.  The fair will be tomorrow with Griffith Observatory Friday and San Miguel island on Saturday.

I love my life like this.  I just want to be more active and healthful.

I plan to go to the Natural History Museum in Exposition Park and environs.  $8 is  the only downside.  I also want to photograph a lot of roses and such around the park.

Tugnet tomorrow, LA Fair Wednesday via Metro Link, Rey and AJ Thursday, Griffith Park Friday, and San Miguel Island on Friday.

Amoeba for 2 Neil Diamond CDs, 3 of Julie Andrews, Monty Walsh, 2 disk Heat, and 3 disk Blue Ray Austin Powers.  A great buy.

I also got the coffee table style Neil Diamond book and Little Girl Blue about Karen Carpenter.

All in all a perfect day.

Friday stayed home, slept, healed, ate well

Read China Rising which was excellent.

Lots of net and other stuff.

Sleeping and healing on another hot day. Enduring

obvious twisting of the facts by hosts on MSNBC, the New York Times, PolitiFact, and the Washington Post, of the few that I even know about.  It is hard to accept clear interpretations of fact or opinion designed to make your political opponents look as racist, sexist, xenophobic, selfish, greedy, homophobic, and intolerant as possible.  This tactic is used every day by the left and it seems to never be recorded and reflected back to them.

Medved's NYT picture of Ryan is a perfect example of intentional bias in supposedly unbiased news reporting.

I guess I should shower and go eat at Henri's and simply get out of the house.

I have eggs and suasage and bread here, but I want to go out.  Or maybe not.

Feeling better on Wednesday. I was taken off the list

of being able to go to the free dinner at the Odyssey because I have attended several in the last few months, or so they say.  I don't want to go any way, but I still feel rejected.  Funny how that feeling pops up at the least suggestion.

I can swallow better, but it still hurts.  I shopped well and got Taco Bell, but it was less than I hoped for.  I used to think that I loved Taco Bell, but I don't think so much any more.

I found two wonders of the universe shows that I haven't seen before and I am downloading them as I write.

I really miss the calendar and clock from Win7 but we'll see.

Tuesday stayed home. Slept a lot. A bit better.

Exceedrin helps.  Lots of sleep and a bit of food.  Going out at 8pm to move my car and get more milk and ice cream at Wal Mart.

Hard times at the dentist. It hurt a lot, both before

and after, and still now at almost 6pm.  The Novocaine hurt, the nitrous wasn't effective much, and I still have a very sore tongue, even after a chocolate malt and a chicken top ramen and a salt water gargle and an Exceedrin.  Not doing well here.  I hope it goes away.  Hard to pay $3,000 and still feel so poorly thereafter.

I even slept and still no joy.

It hurts a lot when I simply swallow.  Doesn't sound right to me.

Time will tell.

Getting ready to go to the dentist.  Leave in an hour from now, after a shower.

I got the 27 inch monitor to show a clock and a calendar as a slide in window on my desktop, but, and this is a big but, it is an eighth of the whole screen and does not float on top of the main desktop window, but takes up 12.5 per cent of the whole window.

Not a satisfactory solution.

Good Sunday. Too late to the Museum of Natural

History, but I went to Roll N Rye for lox and cream cheese on rye, and it was excellent.  Then to Fry's for $20 of videos and home at 7pm to be ready for tomorrow at the dentist.

Having a good retirement, so far.

Up 915am feeling well. Called Les to no avail.

Looking to have a great day.

LA Zoo?  Too hot.

Saturday up at dawn, i.e. 6am feeling not rested.

Only relieved to be out of the freaking car and able to go eat.  Poor trip around Las Vegas looking for a country kitchen to eat breakfast in.  I got gas and settled for Macdonalds, took my pills, threw up two of them in the parking lot, and went to Hoover Dam.

Excellent tour of the Dam.  More than 200 pictures and all was well.  Hotter than the gates of Hell, but it was wonderful.

Walked across the big bridge above the Dam and it was exciting.  Still gives me the jelly leg when I get close to the edge of the bridge.

Left the dam at 3pm and got home at ten pm, ate breakfast at Lancers and went home to watch the Carpenter's video and sleep about 8 hours very well.

Friday drove to Las Vegas, had a great trip, but

couldn't find a place to park near the Venetian Hotel so I walked about a mile to the Phantom Theater.  Only one show on Friday night so I was out of luck.  Walked back to my car the long way and drove to the Wal Mart Market and ate in the car and tried to sleep in the hot car.  It was one of the most miserable nights I have ever spent in a car.  I should have bought a room for $49.99 at Motel 6.

Up Friday at 8am feeling well and off to Nevada!

Hoover Dam and Las Vegas and The Phantom of the Opera here I come.

Now almost 9am and I'm just taking the Metamucil and about to shower and go out the door.

I plan to have a great trip.  It is not even really hot today.

Good Thursday. Up at 9am, washed car, and went

to the TOPCC and signed up for the beginners photo class with Mike Sugar that starts on Sept 12, 2012.

I am thinking of driving to Hoover Dam for the tour and to Vegas for Phantom tomorrow.

I need lots of water,

Check the brake fluid and coolant water,

pack up the babies and grab the old ladies,

Take the pillow, Metamucil, shampoo and soap, tooth brush, hair brush, comb,

Five kinds of pills,

lotion and cream,

shaving razor and shaving cream, possibly not.

My Fujitsu, power cord, the three tablets, and have a great time on the trip.

Bruce Hirshsenson.  He was clearly in not so great health.  His talk was negative about Obama's foreign policy.  Big surprise.

I listened to two hours of my recording of the Diamond concert in my car on the drive.

Twice enjoyed.

Neil Diamond Tuesday night in Anaheim.  I am so happy again.  All this joy may mean that I get heart ache to compensate for all the joy?  I hope not.  At least not right now.  Let the heart break begin in twenty years, if then.

Saturday installed Win8 Enterprise and it is great.

Almost flawless computer.  I love Win 8.

Got Thrive dock, case, and extra battery.  Thrive updated to Ice Cream Sandwich and it is much better than Honey Comb.  I can now move around the o/s, more or less.

All is well.

Friday stay at home day after Englebert. Great

Englebert was excellent, except when he was merely ok.  Good drive.  Poor seats but it was a casino.

Slept well to regain energy.  Hot day.

Great Thursday so far. Up at 9am feeling well.

Englebert Humperdinck tonight at the San Manuel Casino in Highland, CA.  I am full of anticipation.

I've watched and downloaded multiple videos from youtube on Englebert and they bring lots of tears of joy to my eyes.  Hard to believe, but they do.

I also ordered a dock, an extra battery, and a case/stand for the Thrive.  It won't be here until late next week, but that saves me ten dollars and why am I in a hurry.

I still have to call the time warner cable collections department, but that can wait until tomorrow.

Now to get ready to eat and drive almost to Palm Springs to see Englebert Humperdinck live in concert.

I am more happy than I can express here.  This is a once in a life time event.

Good Wednesday. Slept well. Got Thrive and

went to the linux sig after doing two loads of whites.  John V is too pushy for my taste.  Knowledgeable about linux but he should be more accommodating.  Otherwise it was fine.  John couldn't get his router, Ethernet cable, or much of anything else to work.  I was very concerned that I had lost my cable for the Seagate drive, but I found it before we left.  Raspberry Pi worked well, but John is so convinced that he is perfect that he read the details wrong on my laptop and we almost had an argument about the size of the partitions on my own computer.  Hard to believe.

Otherwise, dinner at Taco Bell and a great time was had by all.

Museum was fine.  I drove over the Vincent Thomas Bridge with a bunch of trucks and it felt scarey.

I got the internet turned back on by paying $52.99 to TWC and have to call twc collections tomorrow to get the billing fixed.  Some company they have.

trip for me.  I didn't have enough time to sleep and get ready for the 2hour trip, so I'll stay here and eat my pancakes, wash clothes, clean my apartment, and get ready for the astronomy sig tonight.

I feel pretty good, a little disappointed that Ryan and Romeny will be savaged by the media and the Democrats.  This too shall pass.

Good hot Sunday. To Cabrillo Aquarium, but it was

full, so, I went to a hot Lake Balboa for a quick walk and then to Hanson Dam, and then to Lancers for a good breakfast of corned beef hash, eggs, and pancakes.

Slept poorly last night.  Unpleasant dreams of a bear on a leash which was attacked by some sort of squid creature.  Otherwise all was well.

For Monday, reschedule Dr Fields and astromeny sig and Tuesday tugnet meeting as well.

Toshiba Thrive should be here Wednesday.  Thursday is Englebert Humperdink near Palm Springs.

Next week is Neil Diamond.

Wednesday up late due to heat and lack of sleep.

Got Glove Club gloves in DHL and all is fine.

I plan to take AJ and Rey out tonight because I have plans for the dentist tomorrow, a tugnet meeting Thursday night, and a Friday night movie of 2016.

Lots of things to look forward to as well.

I also called the CCU and told them they made an error on my rent check so I paid $300 more than I had to.  I wanted to be honest.

Tuesday slept late due to heat and little energy.

Went to TUGNET for a session on the iPad, most of which I knew already.

Excellent dinner of liver and onions at Lancers.

Slept fairly well, overall.  No events tonight.  It was 103 or 102 degrees outside today.  Good reason to stay inside.

I can now go eat at Chicks or at Sizzler, or Lancers or where I want to go.

I forgot to mention that I had a good breakfast at Lancers yesterday and bought a Reason mag at Bookstore.  Lots of HULU on the computer as well.

I could join KOA and go camp out where ever they have a camp site around here.

The big thing I am concerned about is my ability to take a comfortable shower.  We'll see.

Excellent Saturday at Henderson Lake w/VDH

Hal went on the hike with VDH and Throntorn.  I stayed in the car and read Brad Thor.  My knees hurt and I couldn't get enough oxygen in my system until I rested in the car.  Probably because of the 7,000 height and me being out of shape.

Good car ride with Hal, good ride both to and from Fresno.  Hal went back home Saturday night and so did I.  Did eat at a very crowded Chick-Fil-A.

I forgot to bring the power cable for the 27inch monitor, but everything else was close to perfect.

Thank God for small, or large favors.

11am Friday. Monitor and computer packed up.

Now to shower and leave.

Pack the Fujitsu, all power cords, a big monitor, probably the 27 inch one, a sound system, and even an extra hard drive all in the car to set up before Hal gets there.

Thursday pm. AAA office closed at 5pm. I got there

at 501pm and was sol.

Bought new twin air mattress, exchanged for new sleeping bag, ate at Chick-fil-A, and bought more underware.

I also bought a rechargable air pump for the air mattress, which goes inside the tent, over the tarp, all of which I bought last week.

Watched Windows Weekly and to bed early.

Call back east when I get home next week from Northern California.

Continue to be happy, healthy, and wise.  At least as much as possible.

Wednesday later on in the pm. Doing laundry now

Saw Dr Fields and he wants $1,000 to do the caps on my wisdom teeth.  I only have to pay him the total of $500 cash as a discount, I guess.

The two bridges can be done later at extra cost.  My share is still about $130 to the doc for the initial x-rays and cleaning.  Still seems like a lot of money for not much work done.

I will go back next Thursday at 830am and get an impression done and get my upper plate back at the end of the day.

I also ate a turkey dinner at Lancers since Chick-Fil -A was too busy, so nobody goes there anymore.

Then I bought a 30 degree to 50 degree sleeping bag at Sport Chalet so I could get a ten dollar gift certificate at Sport Chalet.  What a deal.  A three percent discount on every three hundred dollars you spend.  Oh, well.

Now to do some laundry, do the Kaiser and Mass Mutual paperwork, and sleep from 11pm to about 8am or so, and wake up refreshed and anxious to go.

I can do the passport application tomorrow and look at the camping gear again.

Wednesday pm. Hal booked a Vagabond room for us

in Fresno.  He likes to live high on the hog, it seems.

Lots of stuff to do with the Nexus.  It hurts my eyes the text is so small.

I feel better than normal today.  Now taking pills and getting ready to do some laundry before going to the dentist later today.  I want two crowns, possible implants or bridges in the back lower jaw area, depending upon the cost, and I will skip the veneers, also because of the cost.

I may have to spend up to $4,000 for my China trip if I can't get someone to share the room with me.  So be it if it has to be.  I can afford it.  Take lots of pictures and videos.

Tuesday up at 11am feeling a bit tired as usual...

Mostly from sleeping during the day and not a regular night time sleep.

Hal called and we agreed to rent a hotel room and meet there for the big hike on Saturday.  This means I will have to skip the All Things Space at Griffith Observatory, but there are worse things that could happen.

Now I only have to find the motel that Hal and I can stay at before the big hike with Victor Davis Hansen.

Looking it up now.

Then do the Senior Advantage paperwork, and the Mass Mutual paperwork and all of my chores are done except for calling the Inga branch of the family back East.

Also set up my new tent and clean out my car trunk, wash it, fill the brake thing, and do more of the paperwork around here.

Tomorrow do the B of A call, the Kaiser paperwork, call Mass Mutual re my pension entitlements, and continue to enjoy and marvel at the Apple TV.  How did I ever go all these years without buying one and enjoying it as I am right now.  I am watching Oliver on the big tv and typing here at the same time.  Very good indeed.  Multi tasking.

Also the AirPlay works well as well.

The iTunes Cloud or iCloud works well as well.  Very impressive.  Good to play games on or connect the Apple TV to the 27 inch monitor and view the books and such on the big monitor.

Drew said he would take care of the charges by Tuesday and call or email me with the details of his efforts.  This recurring charge bothers me a lot, probably because it will go on forever, I don't want it, and I can't cancel it.

I hope it will get canceled and I can get on with my life.

I stayed home and sauteed onions, and had left overs and an omelet for dinner.  It was good and healthy.

Awake Monday at 11am feeling a little bleary

 as usual of late.  I'd just had a very vivid dream wherein Nancy Sanford had just told me in no uncertain terms that she loved me very much.  I said I loved her very much as well and I awoke to find that I had the message from the lady below.  Kathleen the therapist was also in the gym playing the piano for all of us.  Nancy had cut off the tip of her finger so I told her the story of how my mother had done the same thing.  It must have created a bond between us.

I wish I could find her and "Could we start again, please?"

I got a message from Ocean 19 via the dating service and I wrote a long reply.  I hope to hear from her again, but I have learned not to get my hopes up.

Nothing scheduled for today but lots of interesting things to do in the next two weeks.

Great Sunday PM at Whale Watching in Long

Beach.  It cost me $40 for this trip and $25 for the Aquarium trip I missed, but it was worth it.

There really isn't much to see even if there are multiple blue whales exhaling in front of the boat.  We saw a lot and I loved it, but it was still a air/water spout and the top of a shape on the surface for a second or so.  I got lots of photos and even a movie clip, but I doubt there is anything identifiable therein.  We'll see.  Still highly interesting.

Great trip both ways.  Car is wonderful.  Dinner at Roll N Rye of Corned beef and cabbage.

Lots of dvds and comfortable rest the balance of the night.

Up about 9am feeling well, but not entirely rested

due to the computer blaring Rush for hours via the web site.  Try not to do this again.

Thinking of going to see the whales today.

I am reluctant to call Inga or Terry.  I don't want to hear what they have to say if it is only that they are keeping all of the money.  We'll see.

Good Saturday at the Simi Park with the tocc photo

club field trip.  Lots of good photos and a chance to see other people take pictures as well.

Dinner of two Italian cold cut sandwiches, which were very good.  Lots of dvds and net after a good nap in front of the a/c machine.

Poor sleep listening to Steyn and Rush on the computer.

Sleep at night in a cool dark room for the best sleep, as if I didn't know that.

Lesson learned for the cost of missing the $25

whale watching trip I already paid for because it took me too long to make it to Long Beach.  I went to Lancers instead and still had a good day.

Aquarium of the pacific Whale watching trip from 3 to 6p in Long Beach.  I plan to have a great time.

Tomorrow there is a photo shoot at a park in Simi valley for the photo club members.  I want to attend that as well.

We then drove home the fun way and had a great trip.  My Ford ran like a dream, thank God.

Hal may join me on the VDH hike on August 4, 2012, or not.  I really want to go.

Friday Hal here. We drove to Palm Springs Tram

Had a hard time finding the Tram, but it was fine thereafter.  Lots of conversation and dinner at Lancers thereafter.

Net back on after an hour again to get it restarted

with Earthlink.  It is now back on.

Cleaned up more of the wonderful apartment but it is still not clean enough for Hal to see.  Try to finish tonight and tomorrow night.

install the new cable, even though I still have cable and it is already paid for through Time Warner.

Print the agenda for Hal.  Can't let him in the apartment until it is cleaner.

Good Wednesday. Returned Blue Ray player and

dinner at Lancers for <$14.  Cleaned more of the apartment and soon to finish.

By 430pm I cleaned the shower, showered and

made two payments to make me current on the student loan payments of  $193 or so every month until the day I die.

I finally feel good and am ready to go to Apple and Frys and then perhaps dinner at Boston Market. 

Be thankful for what you have.  You have so much more than most people that it isn't even funny.  Not so much as Allan, Hal, or Les, but much more than most folks, retired or not.  Always look on the bright side of life.

Good Monday at home. Cleaned up half of my

apartment in hopes of Hal's visit.  Washed two loads of whites and still have two loads of coloreds to wash.  Threw away a lot of stuff.  Changed chairs and so far it is ok.

I want to exchange the blue ray player for one that works, take back the hdmi adapter for the iPhone, call Terry to check on my status and that of Inga, pay the student loan folks, and think more about the pension from the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.

Good Sunday at home, mostly. Got a book on

photography and the Vanity Fair magazine on Microsoft.

Not a pleasant way to live like this.  It is better to sleep at night and be out all day.

Good Friday pm at Griffith, except I had to park and

walk a mile up hill to get to the hall.  Then I didn't wait in line and it was full and I couldn't hear the aux screen so I left and walked a mile back down hill.  Shopped at Wal Mart for $91 and got a lot of good food and stuff.

Hal called and will be here next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a good time.  Happy days are here again.

I'm cleaning up the place but I doubt he will sleep here.

We'll see.  Also the new blue ray doesn't work now.  I'm checking the cables.

live, and got ims from Terry about Dick breaking his ankle and Inga having a hard time.  No mention of my letter except she hopes to hear from me.  I'm thinking on calling Terry to check on the situation.  Perhaps I should go to NJ and help Inga, if she wants me to do so.

I guess I'll call Terry later and ask for Inga's SSN for the tax forms.

Other than that, I'm kind of in a holding pattern trying to decide what to do.  I will go to Griffith Observatory for All Things Space tomorrow night, Sizzler again soon, and shopping at Wal Mart soon.

Yesterday I bought $20 worth of Blu Rey dvds and a $37 Blue Rey player which seems to work well since it is hdmi output.

I now have Marion's big hdmi tv set just to the right of this 27" monitor.  Looks good.

Happy Forth of July, 2012 Feeling well, as usual.

I'm anxious to get out of the house, even if only to go shopping at Wal Mart and to get something to eat. 

All seems to be as well as could be expected, and actually much better than should have been expected.

Lots of good things to do, see, experience and lots of things on the horizon to look forward to.

Thank God I feel well physically.
Thank God I feel well emotionally.
Thank God I love my apartment.
Thank God I love my car.
Thank God I have enough money to live comfortably even if I don't get an extra dime from Inga.
Thank God I have lots of places I want to visit, things I want to do, good friends like Harold, Les, Allan, Derick, and possibly the relatives back East.  Time will tell.

Tuesday was a quiet stay at home, eat at home...

pretty good day.  Lots of sleep, good movies, interesting web content, good books, comfortable living environment.

Mostly waiting for a response from Inga and her family as to my financial future.  Will I have any more money than I have now?  Time will tell.

Up Monday several times since I basically sleep

during the day, which is not as good as sleeping at night.  Not as restful and refreshing, but I like to stay up late at night.

Called and made an appointment with Dr fields for Wed, July 18, at 130 pm.

Pay the rent, pay the student loan folks, and go eat dinner at Lancers.

I like the Clint Eastwood movies.

Good Sunday at home. Lots of videos and the

internet.  I ate eggs and sausage and a lot of other things, slept well, and too much.

I feel well, but am still wondering about my letter to Terry.

What will it bring?

Up at 1030am feeling well. Harold called and we

talked for an hour.  He is less than enthused with his new girl friend, big surprise.  I could have predicted it, and I did.  It just took longer than I expected.  A year or less?  I hate to be the bearer of bad news.  There is enough of that around as it is.

Got a new book on his recommendation and will read it asap.

I should go out for breakfast soon.

I feel very well.  More well than I have a right to.

Dentist tomorrow.

Excellent visit to Palomar, then Fleet Museum and

home again by 10pm after 350 miles and 3/4 tank of gas.  A great trip.  I loved it.

My car ran like a dream.  Dinner with Jack in the box, which wasn't any where as good as it used to seem to be, some of the Palomar dvd and sleep at midnight.

Up Saturday at 5am feeling well. All systems go.

Fair movie for $6 last night in Granada Hills near where Toni and I used to live.  Seeking friend...

Not bad or hateful.

Dinner with Popeyes.  Slept 12am to 5am and no more.  Printed a lot of pages and now ready to go to Palomar and then Fleet Museum, and such.

Have a good trip, as usual.

Up Friday at noon. What to do this weekend.

I love being retired.  I hope I get some money from Inga so I can be more easily retired.  We'll see.

I enjoyed the Sgt Pepper movie and the John Denver dvd.  Now what to do this weekend.

Palomar?  Reuben H Fleet Museum?  Griffith?  The Natural History Museum.

Palomar for tomorrow requires an early morning take off.  We'll see.

I'm mostly waiting to see if I get any financial relief from Inga and Terry and family.

If nothing then I have to be much more frugal.  If something, then I may be able to spend some more money.  We'll see.

I feel good overall but I have had a bloody nose and bloody stool of late.  Probably merely a broken vein and a broken hemorrhoid, I suspect.  Nothing to be concerned about if that is all it is.

Canceled Verizon autopay and service will end on

July 18, 2012.  I have to bring the $50 modem back to Verizon on Covello in Van Nuys.  I'll do it.

Also made three phone calls to fit2fat to cancel their program to no avail.  Also sent them an email message.  I have to cancel my debit card to keep reacquiring charges from being applied.

I also signed up with Kaiser Senior Advantage and it is effective July 1, 2012 so good for that.  Hope I don't get ill before Sunday.

Still waiting to call Dr Fields.

Good dinner at Lancers of liver and onions, which I ate almost all of.

Both computers are working very well.  Got my hair cut by Ed.  He seems a sad man.  I don't know how to help him except by being his friend, which I don't want to do.  I will help him fix his computer however.

Tuesday am post. I finished the Letter to Terry.

After a nap, now to mail the letter and be done with it.  What happens is out of my control.

I feel much better after having finally written the letter.  It sounds about as good as I can make it.

Now to go mail it, perhaps get a haircut, and have a great day.

Monday pm dinner at Little Toni's pizza.

Worked with the asus computer mostly.  Good machine even with Win8CP on it.  I love the solitaire on it.

I just noticed that I am back on the asus so that I can print the letter to Terry on it.

Up Monday at 9am feeling well, but lazy.

Only got to Lake Elsinore yesterday on my second attempted trip to Palomar.  I have the desire to finish the letter to Terry on my mind all the time, and I don't want to have to write the letter.

I think Inga should share the inheritance with me without me having to ask for my share, but I guess this isn't going to happen, so I need to write the letter.

Slept several times and I think I want to go to Lancers for a good chicken dinner.  Shower first and go.

I love this asus computer as well.

Up Sunday at 915am feeling well and soon off to

Palomar Observatory and then Fleet Museum in San Diego and then home to finish and mail the letter, and live the balance of my life in optimism, I hope.

Only made it to Culver City for pastrami sandwhich

at Roll n Rye, which was pretty good, but not out of this world.

Last 20 minutes at the Museum of Flying, which was very good.  A replica of the Wright Brothers first airplane is amazing to see.  Hard to believe those guys could come up with the design on their own, by them selves.  Great men.

Leave for Palomar early Sunday morning, then the museum in San Diego.

Finish the letter to Terry, then get on with your life, which ever way it comes out.

Up Saturday at 930 am feeling well. San Diego

here I come.  I may stop at Palomar before or after San Diego's Reuben H Fleet's Museum.  The same one I visited with Toni Lynn Papazoglow 32 years ago.  I would like to go back there with her again, if she would have any thing to do with me.  She used to love me.  Oh, well.  Times change, often for the better.  What if we had a few children and we hated each other.  Could have happened.

Take life as it is now and don't spend too much time with regrets.  There will always be those.

On to San Diego.

thing valuable I want to do.  Haircut comes to mind.

Drive to San Diego, see the museum, drive across the big bridge, and go to Palomar for all day Saturday?

Drive to the Palm Springs Tramway, but I should combine that with the trip to Tehachapi for the look at the pop up vans if ever I can afford one.  Finish writing the letter.

Go to the Griffith Park Observatory again and see the planetarium shows again.  Or wait until the first Friday in July and see All Things Space as well.

Drive to Malibu and make lots of pictures of the ocean and beach.

Do the same on Venice Beach.

Drive to Hearst Castle and take the tour.

Drive to Getty museum and take the tour.

Dental to find that my coverage is now active.

I don't want to take a Greyhound to SF tonight, getting there at midnight and then the lunch and speech by Jonah Goldberg for an hour.  I'm sure I've heard the speech Goldberg will give.

Besides the Greyhound to SF is only $45 one way on line.  My car is only $60 to San Jose.

I slept from 11am to 2pm to be ready for the speech by Crowley, and it is next month.  July 12, 2012

I should do the Mass Mutual forms, and the student loan payments due by July 1, 2012.

Fair dinner at Falafel Palace Wednesday pm

$9 for a vegetarian salad plate, plus $2 for unlimited soda.  Not bad, but I don't know that I want to try it again.  No red spicy stuff.  The red stuff was more cold tomato soup.

Shopped at Wal Mart and had a good pm of the web, movies, and reading.

Best sleep in a long time since I went to bed about 2am

Up Wednesday first at 7am, then napped and up

later at 11am feeling well.  Called adp cobra processing and the lady called VDM and got the benefits person who said I will have the dental insurance through met life within 24 hours.  Check tomorrow.

I could call Fields for an appointment tomorrow.  I'll think on it.

1x, now to get out of the house about the same time I did for ten years when I worked at vdm.  Huh!

I could go to Bob's, or to the falafal palace, or to Henri's, or pretty much any where I want to go.

What I actually did Tuesday was go to Bob's Big

Boy for dinner.  The greeter asked me "How many?".  I looked around and, seeing only myself, told him only me.  He then asked me if I would like to sit at the counter.  I told him that if I wanted to sit at the counter I would have asked to sit at the counter.  Why would I chose to sit at a counter, elbow to elbow with a stranger, who is also eating?  I could simply ask to sit in a booth and be able to read my iPad book.  He apologized, but it will be the same when I return in a week or so.  It has been this way for the last 50 years, but  who's counting.  The fact that Bob's has gone from 100 stores to one store might give them a clue as to what people want in a restaurant.

I drove to Lancers and had liver and onions.  The liver tasted funny, so I didn't eat it.  I asked for onions well done, but they were only half done but I ate them any way.  Home for a nap and after a couple hours of sleep now up typing this.

Other chores completion to follow.

Don't be resentful or angry or bitter.  It only harms the feeler.

Up Tuesday, happy to be home, at 11am feeling

very well, looking forward to a big breakfast of Malt O Meal.

Good CHMuseum with Bill Ford, great drive, excellent car, good visit with Les Soss, talked with Hal who is near the Grand Canyon for a week or more with his new girl friend.

I could have stayed in Monterey or gone to Hearst Castle, but I wanted to get home and sleep in my own bed, which I just did and it was much preferable even to a good motel room.

I love the way the Ford rides and drives.  I get more than 400 miles on a tank of gas at freeway speeds.  It is a much easier drive than driving the Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Celica, or the Honda 600.  The noise factor, air conditioning, sound system, and overall ride make the trip much better than in my older cars.  Thank God I was able to buy the Taurus.  I really love the car with all of my heart.  It seems funny to love a car, but I don't think it is, or should be.  A car is an extension of our bodies and moves through time and space and distance in a comfortable manner or otherwise.  I love the good travel I have with my Ford, and look forward to a lot of wonderful trips around the USA in my wonderful Ford.

My goals for today are a big breakfast of Malt O Meal, complete the Mass Mutual paperwork, finish the letter to Terry, do the Groupon refund paperwork, and get ready to go to the Nixon event on Thursday night at 7 pm.

Vivid Hathaway and VDM dreams, including Vance in the dream.  Impulsive, random, violent, dangerous actions by guys like Vance characterized my life at VDM and Hathaway.

Eat eggs and bacon here or go out for breakfast.  It is up to me.

Be ready to drive to Mountain View tonight or tomorrow early so I can see the museum as well on Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Got my car washed for a change.  It was very dirty.

Good Friday night after long talk with State Farm re car and life and renter's insurance.

Friday at 745am just before sleep. Good plans.

Going to go to the Computer History Museum Sunday am or Saturday night so I can be at the Meseum to hear Bill Ford on Monday at 5pm.  I should drive up Saturday night and tour the museum Sunday and see the Apple campus as well.  Maybe Les as well.

I feel good, I'm just living my life backward in that I stay up all night and sleep most of the day.  It doesn't affect anyone else except me, so there.

I want to finish the paperwork for Mass Mutual, the dental work done, the senior advantage sign up done, and the loan arrangements done.

Finish the letter to Terry.  It turns out that I took care of grandmother and Marion for ten years.  That's a long time. 

Awake Thursday at just after noon feeling ok.

It is hard to stay up all night and sleep during the morning.  I don't rest well.

Called Groupon and I have to fill out legal forms to get paid back, eventually, on the expired Groupons.  Too bad.

Looking for something interesting to do today, other than cruise the net, read, watch dvds and sleep.

Good breakfast last night at Lancers.  $15 for eggs and corned beef hash is a lot, but it was good and healthy.
