Up Saturday at 5am feeling well. All systems go.

Fair movie for $6 last night in Granada Hills near where Toni and I used to live.  Seeking friend...

Not bad or hateful.

Dinner with Popeyes.  Slept 12am to 5am and no more.  Printed a lot of pages and now ready to go to Palomar and then Fleet Museum, and such.

Have a good trip, as usual.

Up Friday at noon. What to do this weekend.

I love being retired.  I hope I get some money from Inga so I can be more easily retired.  We'll see.

I enjoyed the Sgt Pepper movie and the John Denver dvd.  Now what to do this weekend.

Palomar?  Reuben H Fleet Museum?  Griffith?  The Natural History Museum.

Palomar for tomorrow requires an early morning take off.  We'll see.

Good Thursday, breakfast at Henri's and movies

I'm mostly waiting to see if I get any financial relief from Inga and Terry and family.

If nothing then I have to be much more frugal.  If something, then I may be able to spend some more money.  We'll see.

I feel good overall but I have had a bloody nose and bloody stool of late.  Probably merely a broken vein and a broken hemorrhoid, I suspect.  Nothing to be concerned about if that is all it is.

Canceled Verizon autopay and service will end on

July 18, 2012.  I have to bring the $50 modem back to Verizon on Covello in Van Nuys.  I'll do it.

Also made three phone calls to fit2fat to cancel their program to no avail.  Also sent them an email message.  I have to cancel my debit card to keep reacquiring charges from being applied.

I also signed up with Kaiser Senior Advantage and it is effective July 1, 2012 so good for that.  Hope I don't get ill before Sunday.

Still waiting to call Dr Fields.

Good dinner at Lancers of liver and onions, which I ate almost all of.

Both computers are working very well.  Got my hair cut by Ed.  He seems a sad man.  I don't know how to help him except by being his friend, which I don't want to do.  I will help him fix his computer however.

Tuesday am post. I finished the Letter to Terry.

After a nap, now to mail the letter and be done with it.  What happens is out of my control.

I feel much better after having finally written the letter.  It sounds about as good as I can make it.

Now to go mail it, perhaps get a haircut, and have a great day.

Monday pm dinner at Little Toni's pizza.

Worked with the asus computer mostly.  Good machine even with Win8CP on it.  I love the solitaire on it.

I just noticed that I am back on the asus so that I can print the letter to Terry on it.

Up Monday at 9am feeling well, but lazy.

Only got to Lake Elsinore yesterday on my second attempted trip to Palomar.  I have the desire to finish the letter to Terry on my mind all the time, and I don't want to have to write the letter.

I think Inga should share the inheritance with me without me having to ask for my share, but I guess this isn't going to happen, so I need to write the letter.

Slept several times and I think I want to go to Lancers for a good chicken dinner.  Shower first and go.

I love this asus computer as well.

Up Sunday at 915am feeling well and soon off to

Palomar Observatory and then Fleet Museum in San Diego and then home to finish and mail the letter, and live the balance of my life in optimism, I hope.

Only made it to Culver City for pastrami sandwhich

at Roll n Rye, which was pretty good, but not out of this world.

Last 20 minutes at the Museum of Flying, which was very good.  A replica of the Wright Brothers first airplane is amazing to see.  Hard to believe those guys could come up with the design on their own, by them selves.  Great men.

Leave for Palomar early Sunday morning, then the museum in San Diego.

Finish the letter to Terry, then get on with your life, which ever way it comes out.

Up Saturday at 930 am feeling well. San Diego

here I come.  I may stop at Palomar before or after San Diego's Reuben H Fleet's Museum.  The same one I visited with Toni Lynn Papazoglow 32 years ago.  I would like to go back there with her again, if she would have any thing to do with me.  She used to love me.  Oh, well.  Times change, often for the better.  What if we had a few children and we hated each other.  Could have happened.

Take life as it is now and don't spend too much time with regrets.  There will always be those.

On to San Diego.

Drive to San Diego, see the museum, drive across the big bridge, and go to Palomar for all day Saturday?

Drive to the Palm Springs Tramway, but I should combine that with the trip to Tehachapi for the look at the pop up vans if ever I can afford one.  Finish writing the letter.

Go to the Griffith Park Observatory again and see the planetarium shows again.  Or wait until the first Friday in July and see All Things Space as well.

Drive to Malibu and make lots of pictures of the ocean and beach.

Do the same on Venice Beach.

Drive to Hearst Castle and take the tour.

Drive to Getty museum and take the tour.

Dental to find that my coverage is now active.

I don't want to take a Greyhound to SF tonight, getting there at midnight and then the lunch and speech by Jonah Goldberg for an hour.  I'm sure I've heard the speech Goldberg will give.

Besides the Greyhound to SF is only $45 one way on line.  My car is only $60 to San Jose.

I slept from 11am to 2pm to be ready for the speech by Crowley, and it is next month.  July 12, 2012

I should do the Mass Mutual forms, and the student loan payments due by July 1, 2012.

$9 for a vegetarian salad plate, plus $2 for unlimited soda.  Not bad, but I don't know that I want to try it again.  No red spicy stuff.  The red stuff was more cold tomato soup.

Shopped at Wal Mart and had a good pm of the web, movies, and reading.

Up Wednesday first at 7am, then napped and up

later at 11am feeling well.  Called adp cobra processing and the lady called VDM and got the benefits person who said I will have the dental insurance through met life within 24 hours.  Check tomorrow.

I could call Fields for an appointment tomorrow.  I'll think on it.

1x, now to get out of the house about the same time I did for ten years when I worked at vdm.  Huh!

I could go to Bob's, or to the falafal palace, or to Henri's, or pretty much any where I want to go.

What I actually did Tuesday was go to Bob's Big

Boy for dinner.  The greeter asked me "How many?".  I looked around and, seeing only myself, told him only me.  He then asked me if I would like to sit at the counter.  I told him that if I wanted to sit at the counter I would have asked to sit at the counter.  Why would I chose to sit at a counter, elbow to elbow with a stranger, who is also eating?  I could simply ask to sit in a booth and be able to read my iPad book.  He apologized, but it will be the same when I return in a week or so.  It has been this way for the last 50 years, but  who's counting.  The fact that Bob's has gone from 100 stores to one store might give them a clue as to what people want in a restaurant.

I drove to Lancers and had liver and onions.  The liver tasted funny, so I didn't eat it.  I asked for onions well done, but they were only half done but I ate them any way.  Home for a nap and after a couple hours of sleep now up typing this.

Other chores completion to follow.

Don't be resentful or angry or bitter.  It only harms the feeler.

Up Tuesday, happy to be home, at 11am feeling

very well, looking forward to a big breakfast of Malt O Meal.

Good CHMuseum with Bill Ford, great drive, excellent car, good visit with Les Soss, talked with Hal who is near the Grand Canyon for a week or more with his new girl friend.

I could have stayed in Monterey or gone to Hearst Castle, but I wanted to get home and sleep in my own bed, which I just did and it was much preferable even to a good motel room.

I love the way the Ford rides and drives.  I get more than 400 miles on a tank of gas at freeway speeds.  It is a much easier drive than driving the Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Celica, or the Honda 600.  The noise factor, air conditioning, sound system, and overall ride make the trip much better than in my older cars.  Thank God I was able to buy the Taurus.  I really love the car with all of my heart.  It seems funny to love a car, but I don't think it is, or should be.  A car is an extension of our bodies and moves through time and space and distance in a comfortable manner or otherwise.  I love the good travel I have with my Ford, and look forward to a lot of wonderful trips around the USA in my wonderful Ford.

My goals for today are a big breakfast of Malt O Meal, complete the Mass Mutual paperwork, finish the letter to Terry, do the Groupon refund paperwork, and get ready to go to the Nixon event on Thursday night at 7 pm.

Friday at 745am just before sleep. Good plans.

Going to go to the Computer History Museum Sunday am or Saturday night so I can be at the Meseum to hear Bill Ford on Monday at 5pm.  I should drive up Saturday night and tour the museum Sunday and see the Apple campus as well.  Maybe Les as well.

I feel good, I'm just living my life backward in that I stay up all night and sleep most of the day.  It doesn't affect anyone else except me, so there.

I want to finish the paperwork for Mass Mutual, the dental work done, the senior advantage sign up done, and the loan arrangements done.

Finish the letter to Terry.  It turns out that I took care of grandmother and Marion for ten years.  That's a long time. 

Awake Thursday at just after noon feeling ok.

It is hard to stay up all night and sleep during the morning.  I don't rest well.

Called Groupon and I have to fill out legal forms to get paid back, eventually, on the expired Groupons.  Too bad.

Looking for something interesting to do today, other than cruise the net, read, watch dvds and sleep.

Good breakfast last night at Lancers.  $15 for eggs and corned beef hash is a lot, but it was good and healthy.

event, shopped at Wal Mart and bought a second video adaptor for the iPad and iPhone, which works well.

Long dream about me taking a Marshall Lil Wayne loving kid to an outside medical apt and the difficulties therein.  Lukas was the Director.  I was still getting ready to retire.  I hated the assignment but I was the only one who would do it.  It turned out ok but it was still like herding cats.  I never want to do something like that again as long as I live.

Went to USPS and then called Terry and Inga and told them to go check with the post office to get their $77,000 check, but I'm not bitter.

Good Friday morning. Up feeling well at 5am

Almost 7am now.  Funny how I love to read right wing posts on the net and watch videos of left wing folk singers who seem to believe that group sing a longs of "We Shall Overcome", after they lost by seven points in the third election defeat in a row, will be effective this time.  Childish hope over experience.  Schadenfreude is wonderful.  I'll keep the video of the girl dressed in pig tails wailing about her depression and sadness for a long time.   It will always make me laugh.

On the other hand, right wingers who talk about "commies and libtards and libturds" are embarrassments (and counter productive) to our cause.  They sound exactly like the unhinged left wingers ranting about right wingers being in the pay of the Koch brothers and their corporate masters.

Great Thursday to Long Beach Harbor Tour.

Terry called to say that Inga hasn't received her check for $77,000 or $80,000 yet.  I'll check with the post office.  I had a great time on the Harbor Tour and bought a new Sony Cyber-shot case at Fry's.  Also lunch of lox and cream cheese at Roll N Rye and a wonderful trip in the wonderful Taurus.

Shopped at Wal Mart and slept til now, 5am Friday morning.  I feel well and am looking forward to going to JPL Open House Saturday and Sunday.

I'm also interested in the volunteer worker on the tall sail ship with the Long Beach tall sail boat group.

I'll check into it soon.

Over an hour to do the COBRA online register and

pay the $145.35 for three months of coverage.

Now to complete the Mass Mutual and the senior advantage and the student loan stuff and all the paperwork will be well.

Up Tuesday at 930am feeling well, except for my

ragged sleeping habits.  I should get up at 9am and go to sleep only at 2am on a daily basis.  Not going to happen for me, I suppose.

I went to the tocc photo sig yesterday and all was well.  Good presentation and a boatload of older men who are interested in photography.

Dinner at Wendy's which was actually too much.

Now to do the paperwork, eat something quick and go vote.

Then, I don't know what to do.  Wait for the results from Wisconsin, if you can believe that.

I should finish the letter to Terry, get a dental apt, call Kaiser Senior Advantage and have a good life.

Up Monday feeling well at 915am

My sleep was fitful due to its segmented nature.  I awoke fearing that I had slept til 430pm and my day was over.  Felt better in any event.  Listening to Dennis talk about politics, checking the net, and getting ready to do the mass mutual and cobra paperwork, do the laundry, eat well, and clean the apt a lot.

The iPad stand combo works better than a bedside or portable radio in that it charges and updates through itunes wirelessly.  It does its radio functions well, as well.

I plan to go to the photo group in 1000 oaks library tonight at 6pm.

Saturday and perhaps Sunday are open house at jpl.  Hooray!!!

I want to call Kaiser and Dr Fields too.

I must call the student loan folks as well.

I want to finish the letter to Terry and then put that out of my mind.

I want to get the 4 or 6 person tent at Sports Chalet, and the air mattress and the tarp and the sleeping bag and go on some camping trips.

Good Sunday at Aquarium of the Pacific

I want to go back for the harbor tour and, perhaps, the whale watching tour.  The aquarium is ok but it is still 45 miles from here and requires a lot of walking.  Good day, nevertheless.

Napped after Taco Bell and now doing computer things.  New video re the universe, small this time.

Tomorrow Monday night photo club at T O Computer club.

Saturday and Sunday at jpl open house.  Go there early to avoid the crowds.

Stayed home Saturday, up Sunday at 9am and now

about to get ready to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific, after breakfast at Henri's and getting the 32 GB SD card at Frys.

I feel well, so let's go.  I'm of two minds in that I also want to finish and mail the paperwork for Mass Mutual and COBRA, as well as the letter to Terry. 

Do it tonight and tomorrow.  Now let's go.

Slept from 2am to about 6am. Still feeling well.

Totaled up all the money I've spent the first month of my retirement and it is $3,332.98, which includes the $402 for the Sony Cyber shot, $100 in quarters for laundry, and lots of dinners at Lancers, Henris, Bobs, and Tonis, plus lots of money on iTunes and Amazon.

I would like to go to the aquarium and the harbor tour today but I don't know if I will.

I have the mass mutual and cobra paperwork ready to complete, then do the Kaiser sign up and the dental insurance sign up and see Dr Fields again.

Finish the letter to Terry by Monday morning, call Howard to tell him of the checks going out, or write a note in the envelope I use to return the receipt to him.

Then check the student loan status and pay what is necessary.

Good Friday pm at Griffith Observatory.

Saw two planetarium shows and heard Dr Krup and Dr Laura and two other docs talk about space.  A good time was had by all.

Now 141pm and getting ready to go to Griffith Observatory for All Things Space tonight.

Issues with Win8 regarding inability to print with the Canon printer, have to go to the newer version of Evernote.  Most other elements work well.

Now to do the paperwork quick, deposit the check, shower, and go to the Observatory.

I should finish the letter to Terry before Monday morning and mail it then.
