Good day at home. Made my own breakfast for a
change, and it was fine. Printed about 150 pages of user manual for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC HX100V. A fine camera and it takes good pictures, too.
Went to Hollywood for the free Joan Rivers pic and the Elliot Spitzer pic, but too crowded and went home and made dinner, which was also good.
Finish the paperwork, deposit the check, finish the letter to Terry, and go on a trip.

cable to get account number so I can cancel Time Warner Cable and get Earthlink cable for $29.99 a month. Working on it.
Did two hours at the LA Zoo yesterday and it was fine. Hard to walk that much.
Found Phantom at Las Vegas and I want to go, but not at the $180 high priced seats.

Trials and tribulations on a Tuesday morning...
Time Warner increased my $29.99 internet access bill to $52.99 because my year long trial period has run out. I have to cancel for one month to go back to the cheap rate. I plan to go for a drive soon so that may be a good thing.
Kaiser called and left me a message to call for health information. I called and the class doesn't start until August, and it may be full by then. I'm not even sure I will live in CA by August so we'll see.
I think I will be better off by calling Terry and telling her of my unhappiness with the distribution of Marion's estate. I have a moral right to most of the money that Inga received via the probate court, and Marion wanted me to have it, and I earned it by taking care of both Ingrid and Marion in their declining years, and I can use it, and Inga doesn't need it, almost at all. She said it was like "found money." It is my lost money.
No major issue here. If they decide to keep the money, then that is their decision, but I won't be visiting or keep in contact with them any more. It would be too painful for me to watch them spend the $80,000 that should have gone to me almost frivolously.
I want to get my life here in Panorama City in order and then I'll make the call to Terry and go from there.

Fine Memorial Day. Joined LA Zoo, drove to it and
circled the parking lot for about 20 minutes, fruitlessly, and then went to the cd rom store and bought $90 worth of dvds. Then an ok fried chicken dinner at lancer's and another $80 on dvds at Frys, and $40 or so on food at Walmart. Now to watch the Man Show, Andy Webber and other good videos.

Called Inga and Terry. Inga will get her found money
Inga said it was too bad Marion didn't leave a will. Yeah, too bad for me.
I'm thinking of driving to see Terry and then maybe Inga and make the case that Inga should give me at least $60,000 because that is what Marion intended to have done.
If Terry disagrees or their is an argument then I will simply go on my way. So be it.

Mailed checks to Inga and Morris, certified, return
receipt requested. All is well on that front.
Dinner of eggs and hot links at Henri's.
Drove to Griffith Observatory but it was too crowded so I went to Wal Mart and bought food and such.
Now to look at my expenses since I retired to get an idea of how much money I will spend per month.

The issue of my sleep schedule is revisited again.
I slept from 1am to 4am Friday night. I couldn't go back to sleep so I wrote a post about liberal ideology in Evernote, which took about 3 hours to revise, extend and make more concise.
Then back to sleep, poorly from 9am to 130pm. Now to shower, mail the two checks, and go eat at Mel's Drive In for the money I have already paid.
I could also go to the Los Angeles Public Library, except I don't have a library card. Just look around.
Tomorrow how about another trip.
Next Friday is Laura night at Griffith.
What to do today.
Then back to sleep, poorly from 9am to 130pm. Now to shower, mail the two checks, and go eat at Mel's Drive In for the money I have already paid.

Great Friday. Mail checks tomorrow... Played today
Went to Roll N Rye for clam chowder and pastrami and Swiss sandwich. It was excellent.
Then to the CA Science Center and exposition park for two hours of photos and walking around taking pictures. Then to Griffith Observatory for another two hours. I paid for but missed the planetarium show because I went back to my car to get a jacket. Oh well, another $5 down the drain.
Home at 830pm to write this, enjoy my life, scan the internet, watch the movies and look at the pictures I took today. A great day in the morning.
Once the checks are mailed, the two paperworks are completed and mailed, my dental work is completed, and my car is repaired, then I will make the phone calls and begin my cross country trip.
Here's to health, wealth, and happiness.

Determine estate account balance, keep $5K in reserve, and write three checks.
Deposit my check, and mail the other two checks, registered mail, return receipt requested to Morris and Inga.

Make an appointment to see Dr Fields.
Go to 1000 Oaks Computer Club Meeting Thursday at 6pm.

Best Saturday in a long time. Found paperwork...
Have both the Mass Mutual and cobra paperwork and I will fill it out either tomorrow or Monday am at the latest.
Ate good lunch at Cupids and then to Hollywood for a two hour trip at $25 around Hollywood and Beverly Hills and LA. Very interesting over all.
Then dinner at Roll N Rye and now home before 8pm.
I'm finishing the American Icon about Ford and it is excellent.
I intend to not go to bed before 10 pm and then sleep all night well and have a good long day tomorrow.

No taxes due, but a tax return sent to the irs will probably be due, which will cost about 5 or 600 dollars to Andrew. I will keep $5,000 in the bank and pay for 3 Cashier's checks or certified checks and mail the two checks to Morris and Inga on Monday. I'll call Howard after two pm and see if he agrees with this plan.

Staying home so far so I don't have to do the paper
work for Mass Mutual and cobra. I must get to it.
Still fighting off the residual effects of the cold. I sleep a lot and don't have a lot of energy.
About to shower and go eat at the deli near Palms. It seems a much better place than Solly's.
Then take some pictures with my Sony and go to Stater Bros and Wal Mart and a night of videos and the net. The problem with this routine is that I stay up all night, only get ready for sleep about 5 or 6 am and then don't sleep well because of the noise, light, and heat, and the internal body clock, I think.
Then I don't get up until noon or so and have little energy and start the routine over. I've go to stop it.
I did put a usb extension device on the Fujitsu and now have the iPhone or iPad hooked up to the computer at all times, as well as the mouse, and keyboard too. Works well, except that it seems to take a fair amount of time to load the drivers when the machine starts. Still worth it overall. USB devices should be daisy chained and be able to pre load the drivers.
Time to go. Also lots of music on you tube and good videos, and good sleep. But it is important to make an effort in life and not die at 60 like Jeff Conaway or at 63 like Dona Summer.

Then Andrew for the taxes and then dental work and car repairs, and look at pop tops and then go on the first part of my trip.
I love my life a lot like this. I don't want any major changes, as if that is even possible. Hope and work.

Hopeful Wednesday when up at 1230am feeling well
My nose is bleeding either from the dry weather or whatever. I suspect the dry weather and me sleeping during the day with a fan on and the window open and no humidifer going. How would Flagstaff be in this regard?

Good Monday. Feeling better, cold almost gone...
Called Vanessa twice again and she called me back and said I could pick up my final checks at the receptionist's desk any time. Tuesday to do.
Then see Andrew for taxes and then mail the checks to Inga and Morris.
Good dinner at Sizzler for $14, which seems like a lot.
Good photo talk at 1000 Oaks Computer Club meeting, then Wal Mart and now home with Wendy's.
Tomorrow the Nixon Library to hear the free speaker, and another good day.

Up at 7:30 am still fighting off a cold. Feeling well.
The CA Science Center looks like a good place to visit today. Also a Hollywood and or Los Angeles tour trip would be nice. I love my new Sony Cyber-shot camera.
I can write two checks to Howard for a total of $9,000 and a check to me for $7,000 and process both of them.

Difficult Friday pm. No Palms, as usual. Problem at
Lancer's. Couldn't swallow repeatedly. I think because I didn't start with ice water to numb my esophagus first. Or, at least I hope that is the key. I brought the turkey dinner home and ate some of it later. Chocolate malt was fine. No nuitrition problem, just a swallowing problem.
Slept a lot and well. Watched West Side Story documentaries, which brought tears to my eyes. Also House and Frozen Planet and a lot of the net.
Every morning and night I start with a 16 ounce glass of ice water, followed by another 16 ounces of ice water with Metamucil. That seems to be key to making my food tube work well.

Friday at 1pm feeling well. Hoping to get final pay
check at Palms at 3pm. Then pay Howard and me, eat well at Lancer's.
I ate well yesterday with a salad and a chille relaneo and then slept a couple of hours because I was tired, and re tired.
When I woke up I went to the Plant 16 and saw Dark Shadows, which I almost walked out on.
The only funny lines were about 5 and all were in the trailers.
Then it was hard to go to sleep and I finally slept a couple of hours Friday am and now I feel good.
Palms, Howard, and me in that order.
Book talk next Tuesday at Nixon Library. Good.

Excellent Monday. Honda is history, Sony is great.
Signed the transfer papers for Jose and the 91 Honda is now his son's. Good car. In 8 years I drove it about 160,000 miles. I love my Ford Taurus much more, thank God.
Called Andrew and asked for the amount I owe him for his services. I'll call again tomorrow.
Called Vanessa three times again, and no answer, as usual. Try again tomorrow. Mail the check to the Bond company tomorrow.
Tried to print the pics for the VDM guys, but all the printers were out of order. Bought cherry Pepsi, tortillas, breakfast bowls, and ice cream instead. A very good day.
Took a lot of pretty pictures and even considered Posting one, a la Althouse, as at the Lancer's cafe.
Perhaps I should. Why not. It doesn't cost much, it is interesting and it could become a trend. I'll do it.
It had a very slow upload speed. About 0 bpm so I canceled and will consider more on it later.
I also bought highlighters for my two paper books, Dark City and Casino in Blue Ray to watch tonight.
I love being retired. I used to be tired. Now I am re tired. Ha, Ha.

Wonderful Sunday pm. Toured La Brea Tar Pits,
$7 to park and $8 to get into the George C Page Museum, which was wonderful. Toured Hollywood and Beverly Hills and West LA as well.
Shopped at Ralph's for tomatoes, cucs, onions, and mushrooms for a salad. Two avacadoes, chococlate cake, eggs, tortillas, and rye bread. Good brunch and dinner ahead. Thank you God, for all that I have.
Chores tomorrow and court date Tuesday. Be well.

Thank God I'm retired this Sunday at noon.
Slept well twice since I came back from Mt Wilson and the dvd store. Now to La Brea Tar Pits or the CA Science Museum, or the Segway rides. Depends on what the net says.
I feel well, not so dizzy as yesterday. I'm hoping it is because my left knee is weak, although the walk at Mt Wilson had to be good for it yesterday. I want to find a country wide exercise place soon too.
Get the laundry and trash taken care of today. Mail the two checks, take care of the pink slip, mail the form back to the pension people and have a healthy and happy retirement.

Quite a drive to the Observatory. I'll be going back. Walked about two miles on my self guided tour, which was better than listening to the docent. Saw lots of things of interest.

Good Friday at Lancers and Griffith Observatory
No answer from payroll at Palms, do two checks soon, call Jose tomorrow, or so. Bought nice carry bag for the new Sony camera. It takes very good pictures, but still gets bubbles in the air at times.
Good visit to Griffith Observatory. Loved Laura Danely, and two astronomer guys talk about rescent events in space.
Spent the last of the Subway cards and I am very happy.

Good Thursday. Stayed and ate at home.
My fix of the buzzer system worked and I got the Sony Cyber Shot DSC HV100 camera, bridge camera, which has a much better picture and video quality than the Nikon 9100, albeit at twice the price.
I now have a good camera and I can sell the two Nikons, if possible.
Do the two checks tomorrow and get the pink slip to Jose.
Watched a lot of House and all was well. Slept a lot, but I don't seem as rested as I did in the past from a good sleep. I wonder why. Time will tell.
I still want to get the pics to the kids at vdm soon, and pick up my last pay check. And mail the pension papers, and have a good retirement, and consider trying to locate and visit Toni Lynn Papazoglow, if she would want to see me. Interesting possibilities in my life at this time in my life... We'll see.

Good and busy Wednesday, with no Palms.
Made a temp fix to the security door ringer button, which I hope now works.
I took the new pants to the cleaners to have them hemmed, a button sewed and dry cleaned as well.
Picked up 5 books and two dvds and ordered another Kindle book as well.
Paid the rent, used the $100 Palms gift card to buy $100 worth of dvds at Target.
Looked at books and mags at Bookstore and only bought a Mad Magazine.
Ate a good chicken Parmesan dinner at Lancer's.
I feel well, am anxious to find out if Toni is interested in my after 32 years apart, and ready to do the chores for tomorrow am.

The car ran well, but there is strong engine compartment odors at times. Not a good heater either.
Lots of thoughts about T. Is she single and lonely, or fat, tatted, and pierced all over? I may seek to find out. Is she into drugs, the counter culture, cats, New Age, and such, or is she still pretty straight overall? Would she like to meet and talk over old events for a while?
I should re read some of her old letters to me to remember how we became incompatible for a while.
